WIP Challenge - June sign ups

It's time to sign up for the June WIP challenge!

Some people join the challenge midmonth, or comment on check-in posts without signing up, which is fine -- I'm glad there's a way for the challenge to be useful in a variety of ways.

But for those of you who find the commitment of signing up useful, please leave a comment with the below information.

Signups will be open until the end of May.

• Level of challenge: 1 chapter, 1000 words, 1 fic finished, whatever you like
  
• Fandom(s) involved: if you know at this point
  
• What you're looking for from the challenge: this could be as vague or specific as you like: someone to be accountable to, someone to remind you to write, someone to bounce ideas off, etc.
  
• What you could offer other participants yourself: ditto!
  
• How people should contact you: DW message, e-mail, IM etc.
  
• Time zone: useful for seeing who might be up for a writing session at a time convenient to you

I couldn't continue to run this challenge without assistance with the daily check-in posts. Many thanks to everyone who's helped with the check-ins before!

Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping out. A week per person would be ideal (I usually assign weeks running Sunday-Saturday just for consistency). I'm happy to help come up with suggestions for discussion topics (& Friday or Saturday is usually the general chat/snippet/beta-seeking etc. post).

Fandom(s) involved: Can't tell. It's for an anonymous exchange.

What you're looking for from the challenge: A place to check in.

What you could offer other participants yourself: I'm willing to first read/cheerlead, and I'd love to do writing sprints.

Time zone: Eastern Daylight (I'm mostly around between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)


I can do a week of check in. I just can't do the week that goes into July as I'll be offline (camping. Ick) the third, fourth and fifth.

What you could offer other participants yourself: Cheerleading/brainstorming in fandoms I'm familiar with and writing sprints

Level of challenge: One chapter of anything! My main goal is still to finish my Major WIP, especially after doing a lot of helpful canon research that has me back into the thread of the story. In the meantime, another neglected WIP is needing some attention, so if I can update at least one of these two in June, I'll be content.

Fandom(s) involved: Lord of the Rings, Major (anime/manga)

What you're looking for from the challenge: Encouragement to hang in there and finish something!

What you could offer other participants yourself: The same, as well as encouragement through participating in weekly check-ins.

I'm available to help with check-ins at the beginning and at the end of the month. If it would help, I can keep going after May is finished and do the next week as well -- June 1-7. If you don't have any takers for the end of the month, I can also take the 29th-5th. :-)

Level of challenge: Finish an exchange fic, sort of. There were two prompts I was really into for FF_exchange this year, but I had to settle on one because of time constraints. Since things are more settled this month, I'd like to continue working on the other and hopefully finish it this month.

Fandom(s) involved: Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Final Fantasy XII.

What you're looking for from the challenge: Accountability and support, I guess.

What you could offer other participants yourself: The same! I'm definitely available to cheer people on or hold their noses to the grindstone as necessary/desired.

How people should contact you: DW messages are okay, since I check them a few times a day. If IM is more convenient for you, I'd be willing to share it via PM.
