Discussion: writing memes. When memes go around asking for things like first lines, personal favourites, something you're working on. Do you do them? Do you tend to ignore them?

I've done a couple of these memes in the past but they don't really interest me anymore because most of them end up repeating several times and I find that I get bored when things become repetitive. Although I get bored of memes, I'm sure that if I saw one that I liked the look of I'd give it a whirl.

What I do with writing memes depends on my mood and on how applicable the particular meme seems to be to what I write. A lot of them have questions I can't answer. Sometimes I do a meme and don't post it-- Very few of the people who read me care about my writing, and it's discouraging to post something like that and get only silence.
