WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Sunday

Greetings! linaewen here again for another week of encouragement and discussion as we start a new writing month. What kind of a writing day has it been so far today?

•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion:  Since it's the beginning of a new WIP Challenge month, I'm wondering how you are feeling about things in general -- on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible happy choice, how do you feel your writing went last month?  Did you accomplish your challenge goals for the month?  What are you looking forward to for the new writing month?

My writing was probably a 5 last month -- no better because I didn't actually write anything, but not too dismal, because I spent some time doing canon research and writing up some notes, and I really feel that I know where I am with some fics that have been dormant so long I had forgotten what I was doing with them.  Even so, I did not accomplish my goals of finishing one and posting at least a chapter on another.  So that's what's on the to-do list for this month -- in particular, today!  I'm looking forward to it because I'm ready to write, if I can just start.

I'll give myself a five for May. I did only a little writing, but I planned and researched quite a bit. I know what I need to write. I've got four projects I want to work on. I should manage something on one of them most week days (weekends are more difficult. I'm not likely to write much).

I still might write something today. It's only 2 p.m. so there's a lot of time left. It probably depends on what my daughter does. If she hangs out watching TV, I won't get much done. If she goes for a bike ride, I'll have a little time to myself.

Last month, I'd say it was a 5. I wasn't feeling particularly inspired some days, and others, I had a RL obligation. The latter hurt my writing.
