Discussion: favourite time to write. Do you have a favourite time of day for writing? Do you write whenever you can?

I prefer to write late at night as my surroundings are relatively quiet and it's easier for me to concentrate. I've recently been on sick leave from work and I've found that I can write quite well during the day time too, I just have take a little longer to edit my fic.

Before I became a parent, the best time for me to write was between about 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. I slept on a weird schedule then.

Now, I do my best writing between about 9 a.m. and noon on school days.

I do best at night, if I'm not too tired, because I have no interruptions and if I get into the flow of the story, I can stay up late and keep writing. Morning works well if I don't have to go anywhere that day.
