Discussion: dictionary. Do you have a preferred dictionary for when you're stuck on a word? Is it a paper one? Is it an online one?

I use the ACE Spelling Dictionary by David Moseley which is primarily for people with Dyslexia and I nearly always find the word I want by counting the syllables then going to the page it's on. I also use a combined Oxford Dictionary and Theasuras when I want to know the meaning of something that isn't in the ACE. I'll use an online dictionary like dictionary.com when I have to because I only go there in those rare times when I can actually spell the word I want to use so that I can check that it is the right one.

A something else day for me today. I had to go Glasgow to collect a couple of books that were unavailable here in Aberdeen and I spent the day down there, so I'm behind with what I was wanting to work on today. I should have put my notebook in my bag before I left for the bus station this morning because I had a few ideas, hopefully I'll be able to rememeber them and if not then they weren't going to viable.

I'm a bit knackered just now so I'll be leaving my fics alone for this evening and spending tomorrow and Sunday getting through the edits on Let Me Fade and at some point finally posting Hearts Broke Long Ago, I finished it ages ago but I keep putting off posting it.

I am really, really hoping to have writing time this weekend. It will be impossible to do all the writing that needs attention in just 3 days, but I'm trying to make it into some real time off, and writing is the main thing I want to work on. Anything I accomplish will be better than what I've been managing lately, but I'd like to finish up several things if I can!

When I am stuck on a word, I tend to use thesaurus.com instead of a dictionary, but I'll often switch over to dictionary.com if I need further insight. I have TheSage installed on my computer as a dictionary, but I forget to use it! The other dictionary I use frequentely is the Online Etymology Dictionary, so I can check if a word I want is too modern for the story I am writing.
