Discussion: removing old fic. Have you ever taken down or deleted a fic after you've posted? Do you keep everything you've written avaliable?

I prefer to keep everything available, no matter how terrible it is, but I have considered taking some of my fics down. So far I've only changed the security settings on one of them. It isn't because I don't like it, it's because I feel that the hit count (4000+) on it is disproportionate especially for a small fandom.

I had a rather aggravating day in my RL. I wrote 1150 words on a new chapter of Stained With The Charms Of All We Knew and posted it to AO3 earlier - I'll be fixing any mistakes I missed another time. I may write a little more on one of my other projects before I go to bed.

Real Life keeps waylaying me, and RL projects take longer than I think they will so I am too tired to put my brain to work on my stories. Not sure if I'll get any words down today yet, but I want to try. Just poking at my notes would be progress at this point!

I've never deleted anything, except if it didn't post properly the first time around. Everything I've ever posted is still up and available.

I have been stuck on this one chapter for, like, ever and haven't made much progress. This might be because I don't know where it's going.

There were fics I deleted after posting and now wish I had kept. I had even deleted them from my hard drive, or lost them through subsequent laptop/computer generations. I wish I'd kept them because the ideas weren't that bad and they may have just needed to be rewritten.

I've been tempted to delete or completely rewrite fics I currently have posted, but I've decided to let them stand as a record of my writing progress.
