What's the longest thing you've ever written? What do you like/dislike about writing at that length?
Without a doubt, the longest thing I've written is my WIP, Rheotaxis. I like the way that writing long lets me develop multiple strands of plot and multiple characters, but it's hard to keep track of everything as the story gets longer and longer. I think I've learned a lot working on this story over the years.

Date: Friday, July 18th, 2014 15:15 (UTC)My longest thing is my WIP Lords of Gondor -- it's the longest in length as well as the longest in amount of time it has been a work in progress! There are lots of different characters, settings and plot threads involved in this story, and the length of it allows me to explore each one as much as I want to. I've done pretty well at keeping track of things, because I'm such a stickler for having an outline, but I have forgotten a couple of things from time to time and had to go back and figure out how to fix things in a way that won't mess with the already written story. This is the WIP that I neglect the most, but that is the closest to my heart, so I really want to get back to writing it regularly.
