WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 27 -- Sunday

Greetings this new week! linaewen  here to help encourage you and provide you with a setting to talk about your writing as we head into a new month of our WIP challenge.

What kind of a writing day has it been today?

•     I thought about my fic once or twice
•     I wrote
•     I did some planning and/or research
•     I edited
•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion:  We're in the final week of July.  How did this month go for you with your writing? Were you encouraged or discouraged by your progress?  What was one thing that came out of your writing this month that excited you or that made you feel happy with what you are working on?

I was discouraged this month because I thought I would have more time to write than I did in June.  However, July was just as busy, and very little happened with my fic.  I did have opportunity to read over my notes and outlines as a way of keeping my hand in, and I am happy with some of the ideas that came out of that.  Now if I could just find a block of time with no other demands so I can pursue those ideas with some fic writing!

For writing, I managed to add a few lines to a comment fic that's running in a writing community I'm a part of. Other than that, I haven't accomplished much. I expect to be doing some writing for some RL projects this week, not sure if I'll have a chance to write fic. Here's hoping!

I did a little writing today, some editing, and posted on chapter.

I feel like I did pretty good this month. I managed to break through some writer's block, but now I'm at a point in the story that I have to handle carefully because it involves some bonding/romance and I'm not that great at writing romance. x_x But at the same time I'm excited to finally get to this part!
