WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 30 -- Thursday

If I were answering one of our polls, I would have to say that yesterday, I took a break.  Unfortunately, that included taking a break from posting the daily check-in!  Sorry about that, it was just one of Those Days.  ;-) 

Let's talk about today.  How is it going?

For discussion:  I'm using my time management icon today, so let's talk about that.  ;-)  How are you at managing your time?  Does Real Life sometimes throw you for a loop, making it difficult to get back on track with your writing?  Are you able to carve out time for writing no matter what?  Do you do better taking advantage of brief free times and taking them often, or do you find you work better if you have a larger chunk of time to work?  How do you go about making time for your writing, if free time doesn't come naturally?

That's a lot of questions, sorry -- feel free to answer as many or as few as you want!

I'm still not writing, too many Real Life projects with deadlines have to come first.

I'm doing better with time management, but I still get thrown for a loop by Real Life. I can't seem to take advantage of brief free times if I have been overworked in other areas -- I use those for vegetating instead of writing! My main method for making free time for writing is to push ahead and finish my real life projects so I can concentrate on the more enjoyable ones -- like writing. It doesn't always work, however, if Real Life gives me nonstop projects!

I wrote today, and everything's just going awesome. I'm so happy.

I prefer long periods of free time to write, because I tend to be a slow writer.
