Discussion: adaptations. Have you ever written an adaptation of a favourite book or movie? Is it something you'd like to do? Is it something that doesn't appeal to you?

I haven't written an adaptation yet but it is something that I'd like to do although I'm not certain that I'd be able to pull off all of the themes of Bhoot, the movie that I'd be working from.

Editing is my way of getting back into writing after being out of the loop for a long time, so that's what I'm working on today -- editing some old chapters for posting at a new archive.

My longest running WIP is essentially an adaptation of a book, I guess -- it started as an adaptation of a movie based on the book, but I decided to go back and stick exclusively with the book, just to make my life a little easier. It's an adaptation because my main character dies in the book (and the movie) but I am wanting to follow how the story might have been affected if he had lived and continued to interact with people.
