Greetings on Thursday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today?

•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion: Do you have a character who acts as your muse, who "speaks" to you more than others or tries to have a say, even when the fic isn't about them?

My week off is half over and I truthfully haven't really even been thinking about my fic. I need to make more of an effort to sit down in a quiet place and do what it takes to get back into writing mode.

I do have a character who acts like a muse -- less so now, as I am expanding my writing to include other characters, but when I was writing exclusively about this character, I liked to refer to him as my muse. I have experienced different characters trying to "take over" the story when the fic isn't about them; it's usually a good idea to at least make notes, because the ideas are often intriguing!
