Discussion: smut. Do you write smut? Does it depend on the fic? Do you avoid writing it?

I've had a no words day today because I'm still feeling a little fuzzy with having minor surgery earlier today, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow is better for writing. I occasionally write smut but only when I feel that it is necessary or there is that one incessant idea that has to be written. Although I don't avoid writing it, I prefer to focus on other things especially when it involves relationships.

I've had trouble writing smut for the last few years. Basically since my eleven year old learned how to read. She has no interest in what I write, but I still have a lot of trouble bringing myself to do it. It's no longer fun.

These days, I mostly write G rated gen.

I write smut. It does depend on the fic for me. If I feel like the story needs smut, then I'll add it; if not, I won't add it.

Typically, no, I don't write smut in my regular fanfiction--or original fiction for that matter. Just recently I wrote my second story with smut, since I deleted my first one a long time ago, but I didn't post it because I fear it might be badly written sex. ^^; I mostly did it for the practice.
