Discussion: editing. Do you edit as you go or do you wait until you've finished?

When it comes to editing I tend to do a little of both and the longer pieces are definitely edited as I go and the shorter pieces are usually edited when I'm finished.

I edit as I go, whether it's short or long, then do a final big edit at the end. I can't seem to keep myself from playing editor even when I'm just trying to keep the flow of writing going!
