I got some free time at work and had the chapter with me (reading on the train...), so I started editing.

I'm a bit bemused by this chapter. There's something not right about it; I have a couple of theories, but I'm not 100% sure I've diagnosed it correctly. I probably won't know until I finish editing.

And I fixed a leftover problem from Chapter 3! The ending of that chapter used to suck. Now it's going to be awesome.

Are you writing ALL the chapters of your fic before posting anything?

Yep. I'm a pantser: I always end up needing to change things in previous chapters to make the plot work properly. In any case, it's only four chapters.

I wrote out a plot for one of my help_japan 'sponsees'. A story I couldn't write myself but I hope will inspire her - at least that way, with a bit of luck, the idea will get used.

I generally don't write anything on Thursdays as I get home late (I'm taking a class--although today was the last day, which is sad but maybe I'll write more on Thursdays now!). But I did manage a bit of editing & a tiny bit of writing. I continue to get somewhere w/this fic! No big ah-ha! moment (yet?), but... maybe that's okay. It feels best & most obviously the right thing to do when I get that feeling, but... maybe if I don't get it, it doesn't necessarily mean the fic has to be bagged.

I did a fair amount of research today. I am trying to come up with a plot next. Hopefully I'll have something soon and be able to really start into writing this weekend.

Anyway. Wrote about 3K yesterday on day 7. Hope to get this chapter finished today on day 8! /o/ We'll see when I check in tonight! :)

Took the day off from writing due to interventions by reality, but I did some quality daydreaming!

I posted a thing! Two things, actually, counting the one I'm just about to post. Both in a tiny fandom called Legend (aka The One Where Q and MacGyver Fight Crime In The Old West). I wrote them ages ago, but just now re-edited one and decided the other was as re-edited as it was going to get.
