Discussion Topic: Yuletide!! Yearly tradition, yearly torture, or not a thing? I join Yuletide every couple of years and it is both fun and a challenge. Fandoms tend to solidify in my head through both canon and fanon, so writing in smaller fandoms is a challenge since there is so little fanon to work off of, but it is most excellent visiting a fandom that I am interested in, but where there is so little fic.

I like Yuletide for what it is--a small fandom exchange. It's the best time for me to ask for fic for small (or small and dead) fandoms that wouldn't be requested in other challenges and exchanges. (Also, a lot of those small fandoms don't have active exchanges.) And it's easier for me to enjoy because I tend to be more active in small fandoms instead of the trendy midsized and large fandoms of the moment.
