Hello on Monday!  What kind of writing day has it been today?

For Discussion:  When my son writes, he can't going properly unless he has spent time world building, both in his head and on paper.  What about you?  Do you spend time building a world before you write, or does it happen as you go along?

Another fic_promptly Challenge Week is happening, and I'm at least going to give this one a try. So much else going on, though.

World building is a tricky beast. It likes to take over whatever I'm writing, so I've got to be really careful when it's something I have to do.
