Discussion: Favourite and least favourite things. When it comes to writing we all have our strengths and weaknesses but what about our favourite and least favourite parts of the process. What do enjoy doing? What do you put off?

I find that I enjoy the ideas, especially when I remember to write them down and of course playing around with canon and because of that I gravitate towards both pre and post canon fic. My least favourite part is definitely editing. I self edit and I can do it although it takes me a while to get through it, especially on longer fics so I put it off as much as I can.

I enjoy writing dialog and internal monologs. I'm good at emotional interactions.

I really dislike writing fight scenes. I'm not very good at them, at least partly because I don't visualize very well.

I've been procrastinating, so haven't gotten further in my writing. Think I'll try to see if I can get a few words down now before the day ends.

I love research and outlining my ideas. I spend a lot of time doing it and it actually helps the writing go smoother when I eventually get to that part. I also enjoy editing quite a bit and do it as I go, so it's pretty integral to my writing.

I dislike battle/fight scenes. I have one fic that is totally stalled because of a battle scene I can't seem to describe. I get writer's block just thinking about them!
