Round two for the pilot of this idea -- did folks find last week's useful at all (in theory or in actuality!)?

I've not written much that doesn't need a good polish, so finding a snippet is hard!

Here's something?

“Would it be all right if I kissed you?” Trowa asked, smiling his little smile.

“Perfectly all right,” Quatre answered, also smiling.

So Trowa did; it was a tender, lingering kiss: chaste but not innocent. Quatre could feel the intention and desire lying hot but undisturbed beneath the soft press of their lips: the ash covered embers of yesterday’s fire. But Quatre did not dare to reach into the kiss for more. He wouldn’t demand; he would only accept.

When Trowa pulled back, his eyes were a softened glimmer in the faded light. His smile bowed slightly with regret. “That’s all I can manage right now,” he said.

I am miles away from needing a beta, but if there's someone familiar with Gundam Wing and who likes Trowa/Quatre well enough, who would be keen to look it over eventually, that would be cool. I don't need a line edit so much as someone to quality check it overall and point out places where the plot creaks too much, or I've waxed overly sentimental, or flubbed characterisation.

I vaguely know Gundam Wing, although I haven't seen it the whole way through and I last watched it years ago. I was in the fandom for a while, so I'm vaguely aware of the plot.

Basically, I'm willing to beta, but I can't do canon-checking.

(OH AND ALSO if there is porn you do not want me betaing for you being as I am an aromantic asexual virgin who skips sex scenes on the grounds that they're boring. Romance is fine, though.)

Thank you so much for the offer (and I'm sorry to be so late with my reply). There is a fair amount of sex in the story though; it started out as a fic for the LJ comm, 30_lemons, and then grew a plot to go with the porn. Which is good, but yeah, there's probably too much porn. Thanks again for offering! I hope your writing is going well. :D

Those are the sorts of things I tend to need from a beta as well--I tend to worry a lot as to whether the characters would reaaaaallly do the things I make them do, or if I've crammed in too much of my own sappiness.

I am so not familiar w/GW but I hope you find a beta by the time you need one!

Yeah, I am mostly okay with the language mechanics and stuff, it's the other stuff that gets me. I didn't used to worry quite as much about character (I always felt like I was getting them right) until recently rereading a bunch of my really old stuff and finding it way too sappy for my current views of the characters! So it's funny you mentioned that specifically. SO now I am worried about it. ^^;;

I should be able to find someone on my reading list to beta, if not from the comm. It should work out! Thanks again!
