I stuck it (remix fic) all together and it makes about 4000 words (200 today). It might grow, it might shrink. It kind of lacks punctuation (among other things).

I'm not doing so well on the comments-replies to this comm for the moment but I'm catching up.

More tiny bits of editing! Hopefully even more tomorrow. Spent more time than I'd like tonight looking up tiny (non-canon-related) details that I thought I already knew.

I'm at my minimum word count goal of 5,000 words, but the story is not finished. It's maybe half done? Am going to try to buckle down and get a complete draft over the next week. Then I'll see if anyone familiar with Gundam Wing will take its temperature for me. ^^;; I'm feeling so rusty, I have no confidence in the quality of my prose.

I've also got a comm in my circle with a flashfic challenge closing Monday, so I might end up working on something for that over the weekend. Nothing over 2,500 words is my intention for that.

Got sick on Wednesday evening, so not much writing, but I did manage to type up a couple more of the ancient scribbled-notes from my (three-inch-thick) paper!WIP folder. One of them even looks sort of hopeful, now that I've consolidated the best lines from four different versions. Also I watched a lot of Deep Space Nine, which is always good (it's my current Main Fandom for scribblage).

And also I typed out the first draft of the first scene of a "Q de-ages the Niner crew" story I've been thinking about for a while! This is Important Progress, because that's one of those stories about which I always go "ooh, I'd really like to read that... but I can't write it for such-and-such specious reasons... oh well." So although all I've actually written down right now is a couple of scenes where I get tangled in continuity that isn't continuous yet and give up on part of my original plot (and I really need to just sit down and ignore continuity for a little while and TYPE ALL THE SCENES without worrying about why Quark is holding baby!Sisko or what baby!Bashir is getting into in the infirmary while Odo is trying to coax toddler!Kira and toddler!Dax out from under a table... or even what age O'Brien is...)

...um, yeah. On the whole, that run-on paragraph up there represents a Good Thing! *nodnod* Because I have managed to accept (at least for now) that writing down snippets of an over-ambitious story is better than letting it run away into the ether untold. Importantness, that.

Eee!! Yes, that all sounded like a Good Thing to me, both for the progress and the content. Something about Q de-aging the DS9 crew makes my heart flail in a happy way. Happy snippeting!

I was severely under the weather Thursday night and Friday, so didn't have my wits about me for writing. They are still not all in place as they should be. However, I learned that my Big Bang deadline was extended another week, so I can happily not have to scrape together every sentence containing a few words that make sense in order to make my word quota. ;-) I'm hoping to scribble a little today to add to those -- and maybe work on a new chapter for a dormant WIP -- even though I'll be in a conference most of the day. (Got my notes in my bag, and if it gets dull, out they come.)
