Discussion: Do you write your stories/chapters from beginning to end, or do you prefer to write scenes out of order and rearrange them later?

Another planning day, but I'm going to have to do something with all those plans sooner or later.

I generally write from a rigid outline, and I only go out of order on the scenes if I get very badly stuck.

Haven't done any writing, as yet -- still thinking and planning.

I am very chronological, and my writing outline is set up that way, too. So I usually go from beginning to end. However, I do sometimes work on certain scenes ahead of time if I am inspired, so they are out of order. But they are often not fully written, so I tweak them and write them properly in the right context.

I'm completely non-linear. I might have a very general outline or scene list for something long, but I'm as likely to write a drabble end-first as anything else. I read books and magazines that way too. I put all the parts together at the end like a puzzle.
