Discussions: holidays. As today is St Patrick's Day, do you ever write holiday centred fics? do you have a favourite holiday to write? do you avoid all things holiday related?

Got some writing done after work because I had an early finish for once and tomorrow is my day off so I'm hoping for more writing and maybe posting something new too.

Although I have written holiday fic in the past I tend to give it a miss because I'm not one for celebrating and most of the fandoms I write in don't really do anything for them in canon either.

Eh, I don't do a whole lot related to holidays, unless there are holidays unique to the fantasy worlds and alternate universes I write.

I have written several holiday-related fics. I participate in a Yule Fic Exchange every year, and once or twice my story was actually about Yule! I also did another one about New Years Day, which worked surprisingly well with canon. I'm working on one now that would work well with Memorial Day, though I hope to post it before May! Other holidays don't really work very well with canon in my fandom.

In writing news, today is the first day I might actually have some time to write. I shall have to try not to squander my free time in surfing the net or doing housework, and see if I can get some words on the page today!
