Greetings on Thursday! What kind of a writing day has it been today? Or, if you haven't gotten down to writing yet, how did it go yesterday?
  • I thought about my fic once or twice
  • I wrote
  • I did some planning and/or research
  • I edited
  • I've sent my fic off to my beta
  • I posted today!
  • I'm taking a break
  • I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Does the Leopard speak truth when it comes to rereading old stories?  Or is does the Panda hit the mark?  Let's discuss....

When you go back and reread old stories you've written, are you encouraged or discouraged?  Do you like what you wrote back then, or do you cry with shame?  Do you leave your older works as they are or do you go back and rework the ones that still show promise?

I did a fair amount of writing yesterday. I don't expect to do much today-- I've got a medical appointment that's going to eat most of the afternoon, and how the evening goes will depend on the outcome of the appointment.

The next week will be iffy for writing as it's spring break. I'll have extra kids in the house most of the time, and I don't find that conducive to writing. I'll still try, though, because I've got the next couple of scenes rattling around in my head.

I quite like some of my old stories. I revisit those from time to time when I can't find something written by someone else that fits my mood.

I've been pondering my stories. It's all going really slowly, though.

No writing today (and none likely tomorrow), but I've got a better feeling about April than I did about March. Fortunately, I'm with the Leopard on today's question; if I was onto something good when I wrote stuff back in the day, it still holds up if I look at it again, though nothing is immune to a rewrite, a reimagining, a sequel, etc.

I went back and skimmed through an old story I thought was a masterpiece at the time I wrote it. It's not that bad but it made me cringe a little. I had edited it as best I could with the knowledge I had back then about good writing. But I decided I needed to leave it alone unless I wanted to rewrite the whole thing, which I am not feeling inclined to do at this time. I will leave it as a record of my writing progress. Some readers seemed to enjoy it at least.
