Discussion topic: Do you create fanmixes for your stories? I do on rare occasions. I am more likely to associate a story with one particular song, though.

I haven't the foggiest idea how to create a fanmix, honestly. I'm a 'ficcer, nothing more.

Big day for organizing long-term writing plans. I'm looking at semi-retiring from fanfic and focusing on original works, but I'll still keep my toes dipped in a few key ponds.

I don't think it takes any skill, just an inclination to associate songs with your writing/characters/what-have-you.

Thank you, but no worries: I still intend to do fanfic, and I will keep using this community for motivation, but I am having to prune my commitments. Spring cleaning, if you will.

Today I worked at moving fic from one archive to another -- time consuming and not without problems, but I made good progress. Didn't get any writing done, though!

I once wrote a story based on a song prompt, but other than that, I don't go this route. I'm not familiar with a lot of current music so I don't read what others have prepared, either.
