-Need someone to hold your hand? Cheerlead for you? Advice? Someone to kick your @$$ to get motivated? Something along those lines. I’m sure I or any of your fellow writers will help where they can because we know the feeling. ;)

I'm having a really hard time getting into the swing of this story, but hopefully things will go better tomorrow.

Horrible. Discovered one of the scenes was only hand-written and had to type it up.
Am wondering about the wisdom in choosing betas who know the original of what I'm remixing. Perhaps I need someone who's ignorant too.

Belatedly!

1.) How are you doing today?

- It was a good day.

- Writing wise I picked up an old half-written fic and nearly finished it in one morning session (~2,000 words). It's not the fic I started out intending to finish for my April goal, but this one will count: it's over 5,000 words and so close to finished, I have written the closing scene.

- Considering this draft had been languishing for over five years, I feel great! I had posted a new (but written a while ago) chapter to it earlier in the month, and that spurred me to get back to finishing it properly.

2.) What are the really, really great things that happened in your writing today?

I picked up an old abandoned draft and revived it!

3.) What are the not so great things that you’re struggling with? How can your fellow writers try to help you today?

I hope it's not Frankenstein. More seriously, I am hoping that my voicing for the POV character remains consistent. It's been years. And although I write a lot of sex scenes, the one in this fic is delicate, it intimidates me, and it is not something I have written explicitly before; I am hoping that I am treading carefully enough with it.

Because the fic is iffy (it deals with hebephilia & underage sex) I won't ask for anyone's help. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

4.) What is your goal for today OR (if you check in at the end of the day) What is your goal for tomorrow?

I want to fill in at least one of the gaps that remains in the draft.

5.) Did you meet the goal you set yesterday (day 20)?

Yes!
