Discussion: new things in fandom. When your fandom has something new to offer do you write fic straight away? If your fandom is an older one do you find new things in what you already have?

Finished two fics today *YAY* and am planning on posting those tomorrow at some point. It was mainly editing that had to be done, so I'm giving them a little time to settle down before I have a final run through to catch anything niggly - mainly SPaG.

My current fandoms Signed Sealed Delivered and The Royals both have new things just now, with SSD there's another movie coming on TV soon and the promos are giving me all the feels and all the thinky for speculation/pre-air spoiler fic and with The Royals there was a new episode tonight, the show keeps getting better and although I haven't yet written any fic for it I may do a little something soon.

I thought I would actually be able to move forward in writing today, but something came up (of course) and I lost my opportunity. I am going a trip next week which will actually be relaxing and I should have some time to myself at last. I will organize my notes and such so that I have everything I need with me and hopefully I can put a dent in my writing projects over the course of the next 10 days.

I forgot to reply to the discussion question! My fandom is old, but huge, so there is always something new to be found. The number of characters that can be written about is unending, and there is infinite room for any gap filler or canon-based AU that you can come up with. It's great! :-D

Dealing with in-laws. o_O I'm likely not going to have a whole lot to say for a little while.

As for new things in fandom, well, the nice thing about video games is that many of them fall into series, and new titles do get released in those series, so it's sort of built into the fandom.
