I apologize for posting so late. I was kind of distracted by medical stuff-- And I still don't have a definite verdict as to whether or not there's something wrong. I had the choice between immediate and possibly (probably) unnecessary surgery and waiting six months, having no idea what's going on, to see if anything changes (and probably I'll end up facing the same choice again then). It's rather unsettling.

Anyway, to go along with that-- Do you have trouble writing when you're not feeling well? Is a cold different from a headache different from a sprained ankle?

I can usually write with a cold, even with a sore throat. Intestinal stuff makes writing very iffy. Headaches put writing right out of the question. A sprained ankle-- Well, I always think I ought to be able to write anyway, but in practice, I keep thinking about how much it hurts rather than about getting words put together into sentences.

I'm sorry to hear you're in medical limbo right now. I hope you feel better, and that more concrete information becomes available soon!

It's pretty much impossible for me to concentrate when I have a cold or a headache. Sprains, and related pains like cramps or muscle/joint soreness, is usually something I can ignore. Sometimes it can be beneficial, if I have to stay off my feet--I have fewer distractions. :P
