Discussion: Does anyone in your real life know that you write fic? How do you feel about it?

I got some writing and editing done after work because having an early finish for once has definetly helped the mojo and I can now see a way of getting back to the habit of posting when things are finished. Forever optimisitic on the posting part these days.

A few people know that I write fic and they've read it, sometimes given me ideas but beyond that they don't really bother to ask too much about it. I feel okay about it because these are the ones that I trust.

I have had one cheering friend tell me that they will read everything I write in this fandom. Except, I can't seem to actually bring myself to *write sentences*. I keep reviewing canon instead (I did however, have a great idea for what goes between Obvious Scene 1 and Obvious Scene 3)

I maintain absolute secrecy about this particular hobby. My family knows that I write, but they don't know that I write 'fic. (Granted, my spouse knows, but that's how we met, so she should.)
