WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 29 -- Friday

It's Friday! What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

Discussion: Are weekends better or worse for writing? Do you have any specific writing goals for this weekend as we finish up the month of May?

I've been thinking about fic and taking a few notes, but that's about it. Not much opportunity for writing the last day or two.

Normally the weekends are good for me as I can devote myself to writing without worrying about interruptions or impending RL work. Some weekends I travel, however, and that disrupts my routine enough that I don't get anything accomplished. My goal for this weekend is to work on one short fic that just needs a few passages tweaked (though that may entail some research). But I also have wedding to attend, so I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to writing!

Getting some final edits done, I had a last minute cancellation which gave me most of the day to work on fic. I should be getting something posted tonight or in the morning before I need to leave for a long shift.

Weekends vary for me because I do a three on/one off work pattern and I have to go by my rota each week to figure out when and where I can fit some writing in. I have work this weekend and I also need to start packing for my trip too.

Finally home! One more "day" to go in Fic Promptly, but I've got the whole weekend for that, so that's all good. ... Which I guess also answers the question. I use weekends mostly for rest and relaxation (and chores, to be honest), but they're good for writing in a pinch.
