Discussion: free time. When you have free time, planned or unplanned do you write or catch up on other things?

Today is my regular day off and I've got some writing done along will getting through some of the shows and movies saved on my Sky+.

I got some more work done on the summer mini challenge prompt I started working on a few days ago and it looks like it's close to been presentable enough to type up and post when I have a significant space in my schedule.

Another successful day of writing. Granted, much of what I have been writing lately has been short bits, but ... that's still something. Still in the groove.

Free time? It feels like it's about as rare as plutonium around these parts, but I do have it. The problem comes when I have to choose between writing ... and doing the things which inspire writing in the first place (books, video games, etc.).

I always intend to use free time for writing, but I usually end up frittering it away relaxing or using it to catch up on RW projects -- the ultimate goal in the back of my mind being that if my RW projects are caught up, I'll feel like I can take the time to write, I suppose!
