Discussion: warnings. Do you include warnings on your fic? What things do you warn for?

I got a little outlining done last night after work but nothing at all today because I took on extra visits after my original finish time and haven't been home all that long. The weekend looks promising for writing because I'm off for the first time in ages.

I do sometimes use warnings on my fics although I tend to judge it on a fic by fic basis and only have to use them for things like abuse, murder, and other things that can be difficult for some people. Thankfully my husband is much better at judging what the triggers are than I am so he'll make suggestions for when I'm ready to post. When it comes to smut I use the NSFW option on here and the relevant content tags on AO3.

I do indicate if something I'm writing may have things others may be opposed to. I don't like to "warn" unless I have to fill out a header for a comm that says "warnings." And I never do jokey warnings--I hate those.

Hmm. I'll warn for any of the Big Four, but I'm a little step-back-ish on the other stuff, since there are so many definitions of what "other stuff" is supposed to be, anyway.
