Discussion - When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?

I have a day off today, but all I've done so far with writing is some editing. After a bit of housework, I hope to get into something that involves getting new words written down.

I don't know if it's a preference or not, but I have a tendency to write male characters the most, simply because my fandom doesn't have that many females. I have been trying to include more female characters of late, however, and they are fun to do.
