What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
- I thought about my fic once or twice
- I wrote
- I did some planning and/or research
- I edited
- I've sent my fic off to my beta
- I posted today!
- I'm taking a break
- I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Date: Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 13:33 (UTC)I have written a couple of short one shots in First Person POV -- I don't prefer it, but sometimes it is an effective way to deal with a particular vignette. I generally use Third Person limited, but I switch points of view between different important characters (not in the same paragraph, however!). I use section breaks to differentiate between the multiple "narrators".

Date: Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 17:48 (UTC)I do lean heavily towards limited third, such that even when I start with an omniscient narrator sometimes I drift back to it. Lately, however, I've found myself feeling comfortable experimenting again, which requires more energy and a different kind of attention. In the last two-three months I've written both first person narrative and present tense. Both things I haven't tried in years.
