Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! About time to embark upon another week of this writing business. Do you have any preparatory exercises you do before sitting down to have a go at it, or do you just go straight to it?

I thought about my fic, and I did some planning and research.

I've actually written an outline. I'm going to let it sit for a while, so i can figure out more details and fill in some more information. Trying to deliberately plan as much as I can before doing the writing, as part of an experiment.

Now if I could just put the internet down and read...

My preparatory exercises include trying to implement a plan to prevent possible interruptions once I start, going over my outline and notes, rereading what I've written so far, and then getting my music running to help me concentrate. The first few words of writing are the hardest, once those are out of the way, it usually flows pretty well.
