Discussion: writing at work. When you're working do you write or do you wait until you get home?

I have ideas at work but I never have the time to write because I'm in with a client and usually I'm filling in the paperwork for the visit. I try to write when I get home but some nights I just can't concentrate on anything.

I had a read through some notes on my wip and started to make a few tweaks, mostly minor ones relating to transition between chapters. I'll likely be doing more work on this particular fiction tomorrow with it been my day off.

Some years ago, I worked at a place where they gave me permission to do whatever I wanted to in the office as long as I was there and available when people brought their work in for me to edit (I was a copy editor). So I got a lot of writing done during that time! My current job is such that I cannot concentrate on anything else (except for the few random notes I make when I get an idea). Even so, it's still conducive to writing, in that my hours are flexible and I am home a lot. I just have to manage my time so I am not doing work at home when I should be writing (and vice versa).
