Sorry I missed yesterday, I was worn out after work with it being my first day back from sick leave. How is the writing going today? What about the last two days?

Discussion (1): what are you working on this weekend?

Discussion (2 - optional): real events. Do you ever include real world events into your fic? If you do, does it depend on the fandom that you're working in? something else

I was dealing with life yesterday, but today is a total day off, so writing will happen (as long as I don't fritter it away playing computer games or something...).

This weekend, anything I work on will be progress, but I think I'll try to finish up a chapter in my epic LotR WIP so I can post it. It's been a bit too long between chapters this time!

Only one of my fics takes place in the "real world" but I haven't included any real events in it.

Working on fills for a couple of challenges that are soon coming due.

When I work on stories based in the real world (which is rare, but does happen on the occasion I do certain originals), I like to include topical stuff (e.g. a story in Lebanon set against the backdrop of the Syrian civil war). Helps give a reader points of reference, IMO..
