WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 19 -- Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

Discussion - Do you ever go back and reread old stories you've written?  Are you encouraged or discouraged by their quality?

I continue to let myself be distracted and waylaid by Real Life, so I have not managed any writing or even research to speak of.

I usually feel pretty happy with my old stories -- I actually make a practice of going back and rereading stuff to remind myself that yes, I am capable of writing well. Of course, I often find something that needs fixing (usually grammar), so I will tweak to the story if it's not a drastic change.

I'm actually working on redoing my very first longer fic to repost it -- it was originally posted at an archive that had limited readers, so getting it out on some other archives will be like putting up a new story. I'm very pleased so far that it doesn't actually need tons of work. There are some timeline discrepancies and a few other things I want to change and some new stuff I want to add, but for the most part, it's still good enough to go on with. And that's encouraging!

I wrote! Met my last deadline for a while, and that's a sigh of relief. Well ahead of my goals for this month.

Doing a reread is something I greatly enjoy, and it usually encourages me to either write more or ponder a reimagining. (When I actually get one of those bad boys written, I'll let you know.)
