I posted a new ficlet to Figured You Out and I quite like how it turned out, the other one I wanted to post today is been a little tricky. Always tomorrow.

Sometimes I'll use things from everyday life but it's usually something unintentional. I come across a lot of things in my work and there is loads of amusing quotes that I hear, a few have made appearances from time to time.

Still dealing with life, and it was definitely a rough morning, but I'm feeling much improved today. Not quite there yet, but I'm working on it.

I've been dealing with life, but I'm thinking of ignoring it for a change and procrastinating on my "life" projects instead of writing -- at least for this morning. I can't let another month go by without any writing at all!

I tend to use the emotions or the physical feelings that come from certain things that happen in everyday life, rather than the actual thing itself, but I have used those as well. I think it adds depth to the story when you are able to describe something from personal experience.
