Hello on Thursday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Discussion - How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?

I'm gathering ideas for new short piece, and doing some planning and research. I need to get some words written today, as well -- hopefully it's a quiet day with not too much stress that will throw me off and make me just want to vegetate!

I tend to plan the majority of my long WIPs in advance, though there is still some unfolding of unexpected aspects of the story as I go. With shorter fics, I figure out the idea and maybe a few conversations and then I let it unfold.

Thought about my fic once or twice... And concluded I really need to reread the source material before I'm able to write anything. At least anything that I don't want to delete right after.

Been doing a lot of thinking and planning, but writing has yet to lurch into motion. Still early in the month, though. I have hope.
