I try to meet deadlines whenever I can but that pesky RL malarkey can sometimes be too demanding to work around so I look for comms with amnesty and revisiting prompt rounds whenever possible. I did have to ask for an extension for an exchange fic that was due on Wednesday and thankfully I got that posted around 4am today.

I'm giving my brain a break this evening because it's a little burned out from all that overnight editing *pets brain*. Tomorrow I'm going to finish my ficlet collection and then start on the editing for unconventionalcourtship.

-_- I am historically awful about deadlines. I try not to ask for extensions, but I will if I can. And defaulting is practically a tradition for me at big bang-style challenges, one I am trying to break. ... Then again, I'm trying to get better at deadlines in general, but it's a lifelong struggle.

I intended to write today, but I only managed a few scribbled notes, then I did other stuff and basically goofed off.

In the past I have been pretty good with deadlines that are imposed by others -- though one challenge community I take part in is very lenient with deadlines for the regular monthly challenges. The more trouble I have finding time to write, however, the more I find myself missing deadlines.
