Date: Saturday, June 18th, 2016 03:10 (UTC)Improvements. Hmm. It isn't so much speed, though that's certainly gotten better. Really, it's been more ... efficiency, if that makes sense. I've gotten a lot better at handling the words and making them do what I want them do; that is, my style's gotten more flexible over time. There really is some truth to the old saying that you need to get all one million of your bad words out in order to dig deep enough to get to the good ones. (Well, hopefully, my bad words weren't as bad as all that.)

Date: Saturday, June 18th, 2016 13:24 (UTC)I have definitely improved in my writing over time. Not that I was all that bad to start with, but the way I use my words has improved so my writing flows better than it did before. I'm getting a better feel for punctuation, too, which helps with the flow. Unfortunately, I have digressed in the area of words-per-hour (or even words-per-week) due to letting my busy life mess with my quiet writing time (among other things). I am proud of my editing, it's something I'm good at and something I do in real life on a regular basis, and research is always awesome. I think research is my favorite part of writing!
