When it comes to a long and difficult writing project, how do you know when it's time to scrap the darn thing and start over?

Date: Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 13:44 (UTC)My really long projects that are stalled are the ones I'm reluctant to scrap -- they are difficult, but I know they are still viable. I did scrap one project that was fairly lightweight, but I just couldn't get any of my ideas to work. That's usually the key, whether the ideas give me anything to work with; if not, I quit with that story and move on.
