But you thought about your fic! That's something! I know that sounds sarcastic but I don't mean it to be, heh. It's easy for me to just push things totally out of my mind when procrastinating, so... deliberate thought can be a step up!
I wrote some words, not that many, & did a small bit of editing to the draft bits I have so far yesterday. I feel like I have no idea when the story will be done. I mean, I have an idea of what point in the plot the story will end at (except then there are other story bits that have cropped up, & maybe they will end up being omake or another chapter or a separate but related story? I have no idea). But... I feel like I have even less of an idea than I usually do about how to get there.
My usual method is to keep flailing & opening up the file & not letting myself close it until I've done something w/it. Some days that might just be deleting one word just to say I've done something, but sometimes that tiny action is enough to kick my brain into gear for a bit!
Words! New words on your fic! And editing! That's progress, yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *confetti*
As for not knowing how to get to where you want to go, boy do I know that feeling. I guess my only advice is to let yourself not know for now, and just write what your muse wants to say, and see what happens.
