Discussion Topic: How do you find the time to write during the holiday season? Easy? Hard? In-between?

Today, I am going to be at work all day, hence why I am commenting in the early morning hours. Last holiday season, I was able to write a ton, but this time? Not so much. I'm hoping to get at least a little bit done before the end of the year, but ... busy. So busy. -_-

I hear you. December has been killer busy this year for me too. I luckily have this weekend and next as 3-day weekends, and I hope to get some god writing done.

Good luck getting some writing time this season, and I hope the words come easily and swiftly! :-)

I wrote what normally be an impressive amount of words for me, but I'm disappointed in the fact that I have to give up on the dream of finishing this story tonight. Chronic illness kicked my butt this week. Means I can make Christmas cookies instead though. Tasks like that always distract me during the season but I don't have an epic amount of parties and obligations so I can usually write a bit as well.

Oh bummer. Being so close to finishing and not being able to must be frustrating.

I'm sorry you have been sick this week, but I hope the cookies turn out well.

I am like you, unless I go to my family 3 hours away, I have ample time to write during the holiday season since I don't otherwise have parties or abligations.

Today was shopping and cookie baking, no writing even contemplated. The first part of the holiday season is too busy and I can't find the time to write. The second half is much better, as I am basically relaxing and having a break from work. So I still manage to participate in a yearly Yule Fic exchange (but only because the fic is due on New Year's Eve and not by Christmas!) -- though I must confess, I am generally writing at the last minute.

That makes sense! Luckily new year exchanges are also there so you can join in the fun. *g*
