WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 26 -- Sunday

Hello on Sunday, the first day of a new week for our WIP Challenge.  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

Sunday Discussion - How did you do in meeting your writing goals for the month?  Do you expect the coming week to be conducive to writing?

I've not spent a lot of time writing this month, so I did not accomplish any of my goals. The upcoming week will not be all that conducive to writing, but I must make it happen anyway. After this week, I will have fewer commitments in the mornings, which should help with the writing.

I have started a new story (as I wouldn't have enought WIP's) yesterday in the morning. I already wrote 945 words for it. I am trying to set my main focus on this story since it is an idea that I wanted to write since a couple of years and finally I found the time and motivation to sit down and write it.
Before I continue I need to do some research. Luckily a friend of mine will betaread it and since she likes the idea we are discussing it.

I thought that this month I haven't written that much, compared to last month. But when I made a list and wrote down the stories I have finished and what I have continued and so I was quite surprised how much I have really written. I know the first ten days or so from this month were filled with writing but then I had the feeling that I have had neglected it too much.
Well in the end I was shocked in a good way too see that I have written again 10K+ words.
But then this month I have had continued on so many stories but only tiny bits that it was easy to overlook how much I really wrote (I guess I will never every clean up my WIP fodler xD)

Two stories yesterday (Sunday), making 3,200 words, plus another story this morning (Monday) adding another 1,100. Feels like I am on a roll, and I did, in fact, beat my goal for the month: Pushing 15,000 words when I was originally hoping to hit 10,000. Now, if I could just do this every month ....

Starting work kicked my butt but I should be able to get back into the groove of things once I get used to it (writing during the commute and such)

I've been editing the first chapter of my fic and it's going semi well, editing is fun but a pain, and I gotta send it for a friend to beta.

In terms of goals February went really well! But with my job most of my time to write went out the window so I'll have to adapt.
