Discussion: new fandoms. When you get into something new do you write fic straight away?

Still going over the final beta edits of my first Murdoch Mysteries fic and I'd like to post it this week.

I normally wait to write fic when I get into something that's new to me although I seem to be wanting to write all the fic for Murdoch Mysteries which I only discovered around a month ago and am getting through the DVDs at a rather speedy pace.

Handling life, trying to push through it in order to think ahead to the next story. Feels like I have been needing more and more sleep as of late. (And I have missed several days here – my apologies.)

I try to consume all the canon I can before writing for a new fandom, but there have been several instances of me ... not doing that. ^_^; Do not do what I do! Be patient!
