WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 10 -- Monday

Hello on Monday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I thought about my fic once or twice
•     I wrote
•     I did some planning and/or research
•     I edited
•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Monday Discussion:  Yesterday we talked a bit about stalled fics -- let's take that subject a bit further.  When you get an email or a comment about a posted but stalled fic from a reader who is wanting an update/new chapter/continuation of the story, does that encourage you to start working on that story again?  Or does it apply unwanted pressure to an already difficult situation?  (Assuming that there are definite reasons for why a fic is stalled in the first place.)

I'll be doing a lot of work-related writing today, hopefully I'll have some inspiration left to apply to my fic writing!

As for stalled fics, I find it encouraging to see that people are still following my stalled fic, but it's always a shock to realize how long it's been since I last updated. I try to comply with continuing the story, but it does add pressure that isn't always helpful. For the most part, though, it's helpful to me to be reminded to get back into it, because even though some of my posted chapter fics might be stalled or slow to progress, they aren't abandoned.

800 words yesterday! And I refuse to post wips to avoid exactly this problem, lol. I don't do well with pressure!
