A good question, since I do this: Do you aim for a certain number of scenes, chapters, etc. in a longer story (like I do), or do you let the story move more organically?

I spent the day yesterday hanging around in a hospital waiting room while my hubby had (successful) surgery. I had writing stuff with me, but didn't even pull it out. We'll see what writing opportunities present themselves today.

I don't aim for anything specific. I have a general and very flexible goal for the number of words in a chapter, but otherwise it moves along as it sees fit.

Well, I hope the hubby in question is doing all right, now that all is said and done. :-)

Yes, Hubby is doing well. He's still in the hospital, but getting out on Friday.
