Question of the day: What do you do when the time comes to write a scene you have been dreading (for various reasons)?

I'm thinking and planning as I go about my day, hopefully some quiet writing time will present itself later on in the day, and I'll take the next step.

I haven't met too many scenes I dread, though the one I have met has caused me to stop writing that story for the time being. The dreaded scene has created a major writing block for that story, which I have to figure out how to overcome!
