How is the writing going today? What about yesterday?
Discussion: collaborating. Do you co-write fics? work with artists or make art for others? work with beta/cheerleader? Do you prefer to work alone?

Date: Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 20:16 (UTC)I got more editing done on two chapters of Let Me Fade, my "is it ever gonna end?" WIP :) and finalised the next prompt to use in the story. I also updated the prompt table with links as well coding the few lines that are italics in those two chapters.

Date: Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 21:31 (UTC)I never co-wrote anything. I love having someone to talk ideas through, for cheerleading and beta-ing. I've done art and received art for big bangs. I fairly often write completely on my own though, at least when I write in my native language – mostly because of time-constraints of potential betas and cheerleaders.

Date: Thursday, June 15th, 2017 01:27 (UTC)I've collaborated before, especially in co-writing, but that's tricky business. Co-writers seem to inevitably flake out or disappear. :-( It's disheartening.

Date: Thursday, June 15th, 2017 13:56 (UTC)I generally prefer to work alone, but in the past I have done some co-writing (by participating in round robin story, which was actually quite fun and challenging). I also did a big bang which involved working with an artist, and I also had a cheerleader for that big bang. I used to work with a beta extensively, but she got too busy and I found I did fine without one. I do have people I can fall back on if I need advice, but I generally go it alone these days.
