Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Discussion - Today is Independence Day in the U.S., a national holiday.  When it's a holiday, are you able to get any writing done, or does it end up being too busy with celebrations and family to get any writing time in?

I often don't have time or energy to write on a big holiday, as it's just too busy and family has other expectations. I don't have any big plans with family today, however, so other than some special cooking in honor of the day, I'm planning on relaxing. I also intend to get some writing done today!

Remember when Luke fought Vader in The Empire Strikes Back, and Vader kept using the Force to hit Luke with random stuff from around the room? That was me dealing with the holiday at work yesterday, and I was Luke in that scenario. ... Because I work most holidays, they tend not to be writing days for me.

What a great way to describe what some days at work are like! I have experienced such days, as well. Hope today and the rest of the week is calmer and less random!
